Driver in Naia car crash released on bail

MANILA, Philippines — The driver of the sport utility vehicle that rammed into several people at the departure entrance of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (Naia) Terminal 1 was released on bail, authorities said on Friday.
According to the Philippine National Police Aviation Security Group, Leo Gonzales was released upon paying a bail of P100,000 set by a Pasay Regional Trial Court.

“He has already been released on bail,” AVSEG Director Brig. Gen. Christopher Abecia told ɫTV
The incident occurred on May 4 when a parked SUV suddenly accelerated forward and crashed through the bollards, hitting several people at the entrance of Naia Terminal 1’s departure area.
Two people were killed, including a 5-year-old, while four others were wounded./mcm
