MANILA, Philippines 鈥撎� In a rare show of unity, the League of Rizal Mayors convened at a luncheon in Taytay, Rizal, to formally endorse Luis 鈥淐havit鈥� Singson for senator.

The event, led by Rizal Governor Nina Ynares and attended by 15 mayors from across the province, showcased Singson鈥檚 progressive initiatives aimed at benefiting the Filipino people鈥攅specially those in local communities.

Singson introduced his transport modernization project, focusing on his e-jeepney program.

This initiative offers local drivers access to electric jeepneys with an attractive financing model鈥攏o down payment, no collateral, and zero interest鈥攑roviding a much-needed modernization to public transportation.

The mayors lauded the initiative, highlighting how it directly impacts their constituents by offering sustainable options for both drivers and passengers.

The project, Singson explained, aims to make transport not only eco-friendly but also financially accessible to those who rely on it most.

Singson also discussed his new venture, 鈥淏anko ng Masa,鈥� a financial inclusivity project designed to provide underserved Filipinos with access to banking services.听

Demonstrating its online capabilities during the luncheon, he explained how Banko ng Masa intends to provide Filipinos, especially in remote areas, with bank accounts and credit cards, regardless of their economic status.

The mayors showed enthusiasm for the program鈥檚 potential to uplift their constituents, enabling them to establish a financial footprint and begin building credit.

Mayor Jun Ynares of Antipolo City emphasized the broad-based support Singson has earned across political divides.

鈥淒espite being rivals, our common denominator is that we will fully support Chavit for senator. Actually, it鈥檚 not just us here in Rizal; this support is nationwide. We LGUs are biased toward candidates who run for national office after serving in local government positions. They understand the people鈥檚 needs at the grassroots level鈥攖hey have their feet on the ground and their finger on the pulse of the people.鈥�

Mayor Ynares went on to underscore the value of local governance experience in national leaders, contrasting it with those who aim for higher office without similar backgrounds.

鈥淗e鈥檚 unlike others who aspire to national positions with zero local experience, which, frankly, seems delusional to me. Maybe only half of them, and that鈥檚 saying a lot, actually know what Filipinos need. The other half鈥攚ell, let鈥檚 hope and pray they can apply what they learned in school for the country.鈥� he added in Filipino.听听

As the luncheon concluded, the League of Rizal Mayors pledged their unwavering support for Singson鈥檚 senatorial bid.

With both Governor Nina Ynares and the province鈥檚 mayors backing him, Rizal stands firmly behind Chavit Singson, endorsing him as a candidate they trust to bring real change, rooted in experience and a deep understanding of the people鈥檚 needs.
