CIDG: 1,064 nabbed, P170.8-M evidence seized in May 2025 ops

MANILA, Philippines — The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) arrested 1,064 wanted persons and suspects and confiscated P170.77-million worth of evidence.
These stemmed from the police unit’s 937 operations this May, the CIDG said in a statement on Thursday.
Those arrested included:
- 105 most wanted persons on the regional level
- 83 most wanted persons on the provincial level
- 16 foreigners
- Six alleged members of criminal gangs and communist terrorist groups; and
- One most wanted person on the national level.
The CIDG also detailed that it filed 158 criminal complaints before the National Prosecution Service against the arrested suspects for violations of various laws.

Further, the police unit confiscated a total of 1,064 rounds of assorted ammunition, 732 assorted magazines, 99 loose firearms and 41 explosives during the said period. /das
