LUCENA CITY — A 49-year-old construction worker drowned, and a teenage boy remained missing in the waters of Lian, Batangas on June 4, after they ignored warnings from authorities, police said Thursday.

Due to prevailing strong waves, the picnickers were advised by their barangay chief and the resort lifeguard not to swim in deep waters.
