MANILA, Philippines — Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Jonvic Remulla urged the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the Department of Justice (DOJ) to strengthen their partnership.
This came as Remulla attended the launch of the Training and Educational Program for DOJ Prosecutors and Law Enforcement Agents (TEPLEA) in Manila on Tuesday.
Remulla “emphasized the need to end the recurring blame game between police officers and prosecutors, urging stronger collaboration between the Philippine National Police and the Department of Justice,” the DILG said in a statement later on Tuesday.

The PNP is an attached agency of the DILG.
“This time, we work together. This time, we train together. This time, we learn together. And this time, we win together,” Remulla said in the statement.
The first batch of this year’s TEPLEA includes 100 personnel from the PNP, the DOJ, the National Bureau of Investigation, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and the Philippine Coast Guard, according to the DILG. /cb
