Dangerous heat index predicted in 22 areas on Wednesday (May 28)

MANILA, Philippines — Heat indices in 22 monitoring areas across the Philippines are forecast to reach the “danger” level threshold on Wednesday, May 28.
This prediction comes from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
The heat index, as defined by the weather bureau, measures the level of discomfort an average person experiences due to the combined effects of temperature and air humidity.

Heat indices from 42°C to 51°C fall within the “danger” level category, Pagasa added.
The following areas are expected to experience dangerous heat indices on Wednesday:

Pagasa advised residents in areas under the dangerous heat index to take precautions, as they may get heat cramps and heat exhaustion.
