Dagupan City to sizzle with 45°C heat index on May 27

MANILA, Philippines — The heat index in Dagupan City, Pangasinan, is forecast to soar to 45°C on Tuesday, reaching the “danger” level, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

According to Pagasa, the heat index measures the level of discomfort an average person experiences due to the effects of temperature and air humidity.
Heat indices ranging from 42°C to 51°C fall within the “danger” level category, posing risks of heat cramps, heat exhaustion, and heat stroke, Pagasa added.
