Marcos: Protect environment for future generations

MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Friday underscored the importance of protecting the environment for future generations.
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony of the Sky Garden Project in Alaminos City, Pangasinan, Marcos said economic growth comes with the responsibility of preserving the natural resources.

“Let’s not neglect this so that we can pass it on to future generations,” Marcos said in Filipino.
“When we prioritize each other’s well-being, we build a future that is safe and prosperous for us Filipinos. As my generation would say, for us to be successful,“ he added.
The Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority is funding the Sky Garden Project, which will feature elevated green spaces, walkways, seating areas, and interactive zones.
It will also include parking facilities, a shopping center, a multi-purpose hall, and viewing decks offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
The project is expected to complement Alaminos City’s tourism, particularly around the Pilgrimage Islands of the Hundred Islands National Park. /das
