MANILA, Philippines — Two police officers were arrested for allegedly causing a disturbance at a Quezon City bar, the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) announced on Thursday.
According to the NCRPO’s statement, the officers entered the bar along Commonwealth Avenue in Barangay Holy Spirit early Wednesday morning.
“At approximately 2 a.m., the officers reportedly began throwing ice cubes at waiters and other customers,” the NCRPO said.
“In the course of their unruly behavior, they damaged a glass painting frame, and their actions caused alarm and panic that forced customers to vacate the premises. The bar’s manager immediately contacted the nearest station for police assistance,” it added.
The NCRPO further detailed that the officers were a corporal and a patrolman assigned to the warrant section of the Holy Spirit Police Station.
