Dangerous heat index grips 33 areas; hits 45掳C in Cuyo, Palawan
MANILA, Philippines — Cuyo in Palawan was gripped by the highest heat index on Wednesday at 45°C, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
In its 5:00 p.m. bulletin, Pagasa revealed that its monitoring stations in 33 areas, including the one in Cuyo, recorded a dangerous heat index, which ranges from 42ºC to 51ºC.
