Cavite buy-bust yields P6.8-M shabu; 2 suspects arrested

MANILA, Philippines — Shabu (crystal meth) valued at P6.8 million was confiscated in a Cavite buy-bust operation, leading to the arrest of two individuals, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said.
The operation took place on Saturday morning at a mall parking lot in Barangay Molino IV, Bacoor City, the PDEA detailed in a statement.

“More or less 1000 grams of suspected shabu worth P6,800,000 and buy-bust money were confiscated by the operatives,” the agency said.
The PDEA identified the suspects as Quezon City residents “Jamal,” 19; and “Khalil,” 30.
The suspects await a case for allegedly violating Republic Act 9165 or the Dangerous Drugs Act.
