MANILA, Philippines — As the country celebrates Mother’s Day, Vice President Sara Duterte has lauded the “bravery, sacrifice, and pure love” of the “light of their homes.”
In a video message posted on Facebook on Sunday, Duterte thanked all mothers.
“With each day you dedicate to nurturing, supporting, and guiding your children and loved ones, you reflect the kind of love that is true, pure, and unparalleled,” she said in Filipino.
Duterte also vowed to return the love and care to her mother.
“As children and as mothers who are also constantly learning, our return is love, respect, and the effort to live with dignity, concern, and integrity for others and the nation,” she said.
