Pangasinan cop collared for ‘indiscriminate firing’

LINGAYEN, Pangasinan — A policeman assigned to the Provincial Police Office was apprehended around midnight on Sunday after he indiscriminately fired his service firearm.

Colonel Jeff Fanged, provincial police director, said Chief Master Sergeant Raul Cayabyab, 48, of Barangay Olo Cafabrosan in Mangatarem town successively shot his firearm, a Glock Gen 4 pistol, while at the JK Resort in Barangay Caviernesan.

His service firearm, two magazines, 42 fired cartridge cases, and a bullet for a 9 mm gun were recovered in the area.
