MANILA, Philippines — A total of 923 traffic violations were logged on the fifth day of the No Contact Apprehension Policy (NCAP) reimplementation, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said on Saturday.

In a Viber message to reporters, the MMDA said the 923 violations were lodged from 12:01 a.m. on Friday to 12:01 a.m. on Saturday.

This was higher compared to the record on Thursday with 858, as well as on Wednesday with 797 offenses.

However, the 923 offenses were still lower compared to the offenses the MMDA recorded on the first two days of the policy’s reimplementation.

The agency recorded 1,112 offenses on NCAP’s first day, on Monday, and 952 on Tuesday.

The violations under NCAP were mostly ignoring traffic signs, violating bus lanes, and illegal loading and unloading, the MMDA said.
