The NCRPO did not identify the two suspects, but they were arrested in different places in Metro Manila. The unidentified suspects were subjects of an arrest warrant issued by a Basilan court for kidnapping and serious illegal detention of 15 plantation workers in Lantawan town in 2001.
Both suspects also presented fraudulent government identification documents, so they will also face charges of forgery of public documents. The suspects are now in police custody as the return of the warrant of arrest is being prepared, and a commitment order from the issuing court.
