He also commended the broad participation from different parts of the country, noting the inclusive representation of local businesses and products.

A known advocate for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), Villar authored the One Town, One Product (OTOP) Philippines Act, which was enacted in 2023. The law has since bolstered the visibility and competitiveness of rural businesses and helped local products reach broader markets.

“I am honored to be part of an event like IFEX 2025, it is truly exciting to explore and engage with various innovators and exhibitors from various regions in the Philippines,” Senator Villar highlighted.

With legislation like the OTOP Act and platforms like IFEX, Villar believes Filipino entrepreneurs are better equipped to grow and reach both domestic and international markets.
