MANILA, Philippines 鈥� The Light Rail Transit Line 1 (LRT-1) resumed operations at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday afternoon after earlier suspending trips following a magnitude 4.6 earthquake that jolted parts of Luzon, including Metro Manila.
According to the Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC), a 鈥渟top for safety鈥� was imposed from LRT-1鈥檚 Dr. Santos station in Para帽aque City to Fernando Poe Jr. station in Quezon City at 12:30 p.m.

鈥淥ur team is currently conducting safety checks at the stations, following standard protocol, to assess any potential effects of the recent earthquake,鈥� the LRMC said in an advisory after suspending operations.
The magnitude 4.6 earthquake hit General Nakar, Quezon on Tuesday afternoon at exactly 12:17 p.m., according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology.
The epicenter was located 24 kilometers (km) northwest of General Nakar, was tectonic in origin and had a depth of focus of 10 kilometers.
