Shabu worth P563,000 seized from 3 suspected pushers in Cavite
LUCENA CITY — More than P563,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) were seized from three suspected drug pushers who were apprehended on Friday, May 23, in separate buy-bust operations in Silang, Cavite.
The Police Regional Office 4A (PRO-4A) reported that local anti-illegal drugs operatives arrested “Jayson” and “Jeng” at 10:30 a.m. after they sold P1,000 worth of shabu to an undercover police officer in Barangay (village) San Vicente 2.
The suspects yielded seven sealed plastic sachets containing 56.9 grams of suspected shabu valued at P386,920.
Jayson and Jeng are listed on the police drug watch list as HVIs or high-value individuals in the local drug trade. HVIs are financiers, traffickers, manufacturers, and importers of illegal drugs or leaders or members of drug groups.
At around 6:30 p.m. the same police team also busted “Wilson” in another sting operation in Barangay Pasong Langka.
The suspect, a listed street-level pusher in the locality, was caught in alleged possession of six sachets of suspected meth weighing 26 grams worth P176,800.
The Silang police are conducting further investigations to determine the source of the illegal drugs.
The suspects are under police custody and are facing charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. /das
