LUCENA CITY, Philippines – A passenger jeepney carrying 15 picnickers from Antipolo City crashed into a tree on the roadside in Infanta, Quezon on Saturday, May 17, leaving two children injured.

The Quezon police in a report on Sunday, May 18, said a passenger jeepney driven by “Cesar” lost its brakes while negotiating a descending portion of a national road in Barangay Magsaysay around 9:30 a.m.

To prevent grave injuries among its 15 passengers, mostly children, including a six-month-old baby girl, the driver decided to crash the vehicle into a tree on the side of the road.
