23 areas to reach ‘danger’ heat index level today, May 15 – Pagasa

MANILA, Philippines — Twenty-three areas across the country are expected to sizzle under the dangerous category of heat index on Thursday, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
In its updated bulletin, Pagasa said that six areas are forecast to hit the highest heat index for the day at 43°C. Pagasa noted that Cuyo in Palawan recorded the highest heat index at 45°C on Wednesday.

Under the dangerous category, the heat index ranges from 42°C to 51°C. These areas are:
