MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police Anti-Cybercrime Group (PNP ACG) arrested 369 individuals for cybercrimes in the first quarter of 2025.
The arrests were a result of 360 police operations from January to March 2025, the PNP ACG said in a statement on Tuesday night.
Among the offenses allegedly committed by the suspects were the sale of registered subscriber identity module (SIM) cards and prohibited devices like text blast machines and international mobile subscriber identity (IMSI) catchers, the police said.

In another statement, the PNP ACG said it recorded a 39-percent decrease in voyeurism cases.
According to the anti-cybercrime unit’s data, there were 86 cases of voyeurism from January 1 to May 1, 2025, compared to 141 cases during the same period in 2024.
The PNP ACG attributed this drop in cases to public awareness initiatives about voyeurism.

“These efforts have contributed to a decline in cybercrimes, particularly photo and video voyeurism, as more people become aware of the risks associated with sharing explicit content online,” it added.
