MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and his Cabinet officials had a “spiritual and planning” session over the weekend, Palace Press Officer Claire Castro confirmed on Monday.
At a press briefing, Castro said in Filipino: “Yes, they called a session on Saturday, and of course, the Cabinet officials were given spiritual guidance for their work, not just as public servants but also as individuals.”
“And [Education] Secretary Sonny Angara will never forget what the President said, and I quote: ‘No help or favor is too small for the public and for a department secretary. God is in the details.’ So, this was a beautiful moment because, first of all, it was a very light moment and there was spiritual guidance.,” she also said.
