Automatic rifle, ammunition seized in Pampanga
MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga —Authorities seized an automatic rifle and dozens of live bullets during a search operation on Wednesday, April 9, in Arayat, Pampanga.
A statement from the Pampanga police said the operation led to the discovery of a Colt M16 rifle along with several dozens of rounds of 5.56mm and .45 caliber ammunition at the residence of a suspect identified only by the alias “Baby Ambo.”
The search was carried out under a warrant issued on April 7 by Executive Judge Robert Alexander Razon Malig of the San Fernando Regional Trial Court.

Pampanga police director Colonel Jay Dimaandal confirmed that the suspect was arrested and is now facing charges of violating the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
The operation, which began at 9:20 a.m., was led by the Provincial Intelligence Unit of the Pampanga police, with support from regional and provincial units and the local police.
