MANILA, Philippines 鈥� Dagupan City in Pangasinan is expected to experience a dangerous heat index of 46掳C on Saturday (March 29).
Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) made the forecast on Friday morning.
Dagupan City has been placed under the 鈥渄anger鈥� heat index level for six consecutive days already.
Its highest heat index this week peaked at 48掳C on Friday.

Under the 鈥渄anger鈥� heat index category (42掳C to 51掳C), heat cramps and heat exhaustion are likely while continued exposure to the sun can lead to heat stroke.
Both Cotabato City in Maguindanao and General Santos City in Cotabato are also forecast to experience the same heat index category at 42掳C.
Meanwhile, 鈥渆xtreme caution鈥� heat index (33掳颁 to 41掳颁) is expected in the following areas:
