P1.2-M shabu seized in Batangas, Rizal, Laguna drug busts

LUCENA CITY — Police confiscated more than P1.2 million worth of shabu (crystal meth) from nine suspected drug traffickers who were arrested on Tuesday and Wednesday (Jan. 14 and 15) in buy-bust operations in Batangas, Rizal, and Laguna provinces.
The Police Regional Office 4A (PRO-4A) reported that the drug enforcement unit in Batangas City arrested alias “Allan” at 10:55 p.m. on Tuesday after he sold shabu to an undercover cop in Barangay Alangilan.
The suspect was found in alleged possession of a plastic sachet containing shabu weighing 100 grams with an estimated value of P680,000.
Four hours later, the same police team held “Christian” and “Manuel” in another sting operation in Barangay Cuta at 2:16 a.m. Wednesday.
The duo yielded eight sachets of shabu weighing 25 grams worth P170,000.
In Laguna, anti-illegal drug operatives in Cabuyao City busted “Wendell” and “Benedicto” in Barangay Sala at 2:21 a.m. Wednesday.
The suspects were caught with 20 grams of shabu worth P136,000.
The police also confiscated a motorcycle with sidecar believed to have been used by the suspects in their illegal drug trade.
In Sta. Cruz town also in Laguna, policemen nabbed “Erryl” at 3:40 a.m. Wednesday in Barangay Bagumbayan.
He was found in alleged possession of P88,400 worth of shabu. The cops also seized the suspect’s motorcycle.
Meanwhile, anti-illegal drugs operatives in Binangonan, Rizal arrested “Iso”, “Kalabaw,” and “Empoy” at 2 a.m. Wednesday in Barangay Pantok after selling meth to a poseur buyer.
The group was caught with eight sachets of meth worth P214,540.
The cops confiscated a mobile phone, which will be examined for records of drug transactions.
The report tagged Allan as included in the police drug watch list as a newly identified HVI or high-value individual in the local drug trade.
HVI refers to financiers, traffickers, manufacturers, and importers of illegal drugs or leaders/members of drug groups.
The rest of the arrested suspects are classified as street-level drug pushers.
All suspects are under police custody and are facing complaints of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
