MANILA, Philippines 鈥 Defense Secretary Gilberto Teodoro did not resign, the Palace said Thursday, disproving gossips that he quit his post.
Press Secretary Cesar Chavez said President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.鈥檚 trust and confidence in Teodoro 鈥渉as never wavered.鈥

鈥淩umors to the contrary are pathetic attempts to sow disunity in an organization united in protecting our people and defending our territory,鈥 he said in a statement Thursday.
鈥淏usy as they are with their mission, we should spare our fighting men of the corrosive politicking that has no place in their ranks,鈥 he added.
Rumors circulated on social media also claimed that more Cabinet members of the Marcos administration were planning to leave their posts.
