Pagasa: Yellow rainfall warning may cause flooding in some Luzon areas
MANILA, Philippines — A yellow rainfall warning in some parts of Central Luzon due to the enhanced southwest monsoon (habagat) may cause flooding in flood-prone areas, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) reported on Wednesday afternoon.
Under the yellow rainfall warning, Zambales, Bataan, Tarlac, and Pampanga will experience between 7.5 millimeters (mm) and 15 mm of rain within an hour or the next two hours.

Meanwhile, light to moderate with occasional heavy rains will affect Nueva Ecija, Bulacan, Metro Manila, Rizal, and some parts of Quezon (General Nakar, Infanta, Real). It may persist within three hours, possibly affecting other areas.
According to Pagasa, Typhoon Carina (international name: Gaemi) exited the Philippine area of responsibility on Thursday morning. In its 11 a.m. bulletin, the weather bureau reported that Carina further weakened and was located 515 kilometers northwest of Itbayat, Batanes.

Batanes was placed under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1. Meanwhile, the Carina-enhanced southwest monsoon will bring heavy to intense rainfall over Ilocos Region, Zambales, and Benguet on Thursday while moderate to heavy rainfall may persist in areas in the western part of Luzon from Thursday to Saturday.
A gale warning was also issued in the coastal waters of Batanes, Babuyan Islands, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, and northwestern Cagayan.
