The low-pressure area (LPA) located east of Mindanao entered the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) on Thursday morning, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

Pagasa told ɫTV that the LPA moved into PAR at around 5 a.m. and was last located 945 kilometers east of Southeastern Mindanao at 8 a.m.

The five Filipino passengers who sustained injuries when their Singapore-bound flight struggled due to “extreme turbulence” are now in stable condition, according to the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW).

In a statement on Wednesday, DMW said the five Filipino passengers include a family of three with a two-year-old male infant. The infant’s mother is a registered overseas Filipino worker (OFW)—a staff nurse in the United Kingdom.
