BI: Online annual reporting option for foreigners ready by 2024

MANILA, Philippines 鈥斕齌he Bureau of Immigration (BI) on Saturday announced that registered foreign nationals may accomplish their 2024 annual report virtually or online starting in January 2024.

Foreigners, the BI said, are required by law to personally report to the bureau within the first 60 days of the year.

BI Commissioner Norman Tansingco said that foreigners now have the option to do their yearly report online for their convenience.

鈥淭his virtual option aims to provide convenience while maintaining compliance through an online registration platform,鈥 he said in a press release.

鈥淭his service is an end-to-end online process where foreign nationals can book, pay, and report online from the comforts of their own homes,鈥 he added.

The bureau said that applicants who wish to report virtually need to visit the BI鈥檚 online services website to set up their appointment.

Meanwhile, those who wish to conduct their annual report in person may visit any BI office nationwide.

BI added that the annual report for its head office in Manila will be conducted at the 3rd level Center Atrium of Robinsons Place Manila, and at the Government Service Express Unit of SM Mall of Asia from Mondays to Fridays, excluding holidays, between 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

They need to present all necessary documents, such as their original valid Alien Certificate of Registration and Immigration card, valid visas, and passports.

鈥淓xempted from physically reporting to the BI are foreign nationals who are below 14 years old, those 60 years old and above, those mentally or physically incapacitated, pregnant women, and foreigners with medical conditions,鈥 the BI said.
