186 cases of HFMD reported in Zambales since January

An old lair of the communist New People's Army was discovered in this province, police said Monday, Nov. 28.

SAN ANTONIO, Zambales — At least 186 cases of hand, foot, and mouth disease (HFMD) had been recorded in this province from January to November, a local health official said Thursday.

Dr. Noel Bueno, provincial health director, told the Inquirer that majority of those who contracted the disease were children 5 years old and below.

Most have recovered, and only 28 cases are still being treated.

The active cases were from San Antonio (12), San Marcelino (12), and Castillejos (4) towns.
