Last Monday, Zubiri said Marcos Jr., who will assume his post on June 30, 鈥渨ants to shape up the legislative agenda immediately.鈥
鈥淗e instructed me and incoming Speaker Romualdez to sit down and discuss possible legislative agenda for the Sona [State of the Nation Address],鈥 Zubiri said.
Endorsement for Zubiri?
The meeting took place as Zubiri and Sen. Cynthia Villa were still vying for the Senate leadership.
According to Dela Rosa, Villar is open to a term-sharing agreement with Zubiri for the post.
However, according to the press release of the Marcos Jr. camp, Zubiri did not discuss the possibility of term-sharing during Tuesday鈥檚 meeting with the president-elect.
Villar did not attend the meeting.
