Wally del Callar

Walberto Felipe “Wally” Brioso Del Callar, an award-winning executive of the Philippine advertising industry, died of a lingering illness on May 18 in Manila. He was 81.

A part of a group of advertising executives which won the prestigious international Clio Award, Wally, fondly called WBC by contemporaries and employees, founded and served as CEO of the Makati-based AD and PR Exchange and helped companies, including Serg’s chocolate attain phenomenal growth through effective advertising that connected with Filipino consumers.

He is survived by wife Charito and children Joey, Philip, Vanni, Michaela, and John Paul; sister Proserfina, brother Apollo and his grandchildren.

His remains lie at Rizal Funeral Homes on Dr. A. Santos Ave. in Sucat, Paranaque. Interment is on Wednesday, May 25.
