PH鈥檚 1,581 new Covid-19 patients raise active cases to over 29,000 — DOH

MANILA, Philippines — An additional 1,581 new Covid-19 cases brought the country’s total active case count to 29,282 as of Monday, data from the Department of Health (DOH) showed.
According to the DOH’s Covid-19 bulletin, the total number of cases recorded in the country is now at 514,996 — 92.3 percent or 475,422 of which have recovered already.
However, 50 new deaths were also recorded, bringing the total death toll to 10,292.
The DOH said that most of the patients or 84.3 percent still experience mild symptoms, while 8.6 percent are asymptomatic. Another 2.6 percent have severe symptoms, and 4.1 percent are in critical condition.
Most of the cases recorded on Monday came from Quezon City (89), Cebu City (88), Cavite (80), Davao City (78), and Cebu province (50).
The health department also noted that 907 of the new cases came from 17,398 tests done on Sunday.
