A man from Maine, USA, has been charged for allegedly using a children鈥檚 playroom in a Methodist church to manufacture methamphetamine.
Matthew Anderson, 33, was identified as the suspect after officials of the Buxton United Methodist Church reported a 鈥渟uspicious activity complaint鈥� to the local police last Thursday, Dec. 5.
Authorities found 鈥渋tems consistent with the manufacturing process of methamphetamine鈥� inside the designated children鈥檚 playroom located upstairs of the church, as per a Buxton Police Department statement released via Facebook on Saturday, Dec. 7.
Anderson was then taken into custody by the police for an 鈥渦nrelated arrest warrant.鈥� After being interviewed, Anderson was charged with 鈥渦nlawful operation of a methamphetamine lab鈥� by the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency.
After being unable to post his $50,000 bail, Anderson was transported to the York County Jail in the town of Alfred, Maine.
The 33-year-old is set to appear in the Alfred Superior Court on Jan. 24 next year.聽 /ra
