MANILA, Philippines – Scattered rain showers caused due to a low-pressure area (LPA) will prevail in parts of Luzon and the Visayas, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Tuesday.

The state weather bureau said the Mimaropa and Calabarzon regions in Luzon, along with the provinces of Aklan, Antique and Capiz in the Visayas will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms spawned by the  LPA, which was spotted 320 kilometers northwest of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan at 5a.m.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country, on the other hand, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with chances of rains due to localized thunderstorms.
