MANILA, Philippines—President Rodrigo Duterte has become “frustrated” over the continuous entry of illegal drugs in the country despite his administration’s unrelenting crackdown.

“Nafru-frustrate siya kasi nga despite lahat ng ginagawa niya e may nakakapasok pa rin,” Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo said in an interview over dzMM on Tuesday.

“Pero tama rin ang sinasabi ng mga law enforcement, nakakapasok pero nahuhuli natin. So on their part, successful. Si Presidente naman nafru-frustrate kasi pasok pa rin nang pasok kumbaga hindi nadidiscourage ‘yung mga ulupong,” he added.

He even vowed to release documents containing information on the involvement of some police officers to the drug trade.

This is after he admitted that the drug problem of the country had worsened following the recent seizure of large drug shipments by authorities.

“Things have worsened. My policemen are at the brink of surrendering,” Duterte said.

“You can see the headlines — every day billions worth of drugs are entering the country. Look at the main screen and the crawler, the running news at the bottom. It’s always about drugs, drugs, and drugs,” he added.  /muf
