MANILA, Philippines 鈥 Customers vented their ire online at Manila Water for the inconvenience it caused for its unexpected service interruption.
In an advisory posted on its Twitter account on Friday, the water company said the 鈥渞eservoirs were not completely鈥 refilled from Thursday until Friday morning, resulting in an 鈥渦nexpected water service interruption鈥 in several barangays in Quezon City, Mandaluyong, San Juan, and Pasig.
A Facebook user commented called the service interruption as 鈥渆conomic sabotage.鈥
Another Facebook user took issue with the short supply of water despite the high cost of bills.
The Manila Water advisory was issued too late for consumers to prepare, a netizen noted.
Meanwhile, a Twitter user also replied to the water company鈥檚 official Twitter account, saying Manila Water should use other means of communication in disseminating information about the advisory.
鈥淥ne thing though 鈥 not everyone relies on social media to acquire such information. Many would appreciate if other channels will still be used to spread information,鈥 the netizen wrote.
