PPA calls for safe sea voyage as PH prepares for onslaught of 鈥極mpong鈥�
The Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) has advised the public to check the schedule of their trips with their respective transport service providers as the country anticipates the onslaught of typhoon “Ompong,” which entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Wednesday afternoon.
The PPA urged the public to undertake measures to avoid travel delays and inconveniences such as regularly checking official weather updates and guidelines on vessel travels during inclement weather.
“Everyone is encouraged to coordinate with their respective transport service providers for any trip cancellation and rescheduling,” it also said in an advisory.
Port officials further called on transport services and passengers as well as other concerned units to take all precautionary measures for safe voyage, as it assured the availability of its emergency response teams in ports to be affected by the typhoon “to provide assistance and aid.” Christia Marie Ramos, 好色先生TV /kga
